Fall Themed + Week(end) Roll Call

We are hosting a few friends over for a dinner party tonight. I'm officially on a fall decoration kick.... there will be apples, pumpkins and pine cones galore on my tablescape, along with, a very fall themed dinner menu. And don't fret, apple picking pictures are coming soon to continue the fall posts!

This week went a little like this ::

- Warby Parker launched their 'Do Good' website. Be sure to check out the video, plus some photos by the amazing Esther Havens

- Had the pleasure of attending the Art Director's Club - Young Guns 9 Award Ceremony on Thursday night to support our friend Dana Tanamachi. Her custom chalk work is gorgeous and dominated the gallery space! It's a super big deal to be a part of the Young Guns list and we are thrilled for Dana!

- This post on Blog Brunch about 'How To Choose A Name' this week was so encouraging. I can't tell you how long of a process it was for me to decide on a name for this little blog and shop here. I kept scraps of paper around so I could jot down any words or thoughts that came to me. I would email a few girlfriends ideas and key words and ask their thoughts. It finally came down to something personal and unique. If you have a blog or shop, what was your process on deciding a name?

- Countdown till our Mexico trip is now at 4 days. Sunshine, pools and guacamole.... we are so close!

- Got myself some new fur (faux) for the fall! Now that it's getting chilly, be prepared to see a lot of fur in my outfits.... it's just so soft! This stole will be great for more casual outfits.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Names are hard. Like, almost harder than naming a baby -- anything goes for a business or blog! (Although, true, some baby names are pretty out there.) I think you have to pick the name that would get you to click on it or walk through the door. Like yours for instance! Totally clicked on it just for the name.

I can't wait to collect some pinecones! Right when I bring some apples home to put in the fruit bowl I end up eating it. Fall seriously has some of the best fruits and vegetables!

Sarah - Thanks! Glad to know the name is doing it's job! Thanks for checking out my little blog here.

Supal - The cinnamon scented pinecones are THE best. Hands down! They keep that magical fall scent in a room. I'm a sucker for those!
