Day 3 of Lolla was what I like to call...Sunday Funday! First, we met up with a few friends for brunch at Milk and Honey Cafe which was de-lic-ious. Huevos rancheros... yes please! Then we got to stroll around Wicker Park to some great consignment shops - Buffalo Exchange and Crossroads Trading. Then there was the deciding moment of needing to leave to get to the festival.....it was raining, we were having good conversation with friends and it also happened to be E's birthday...... so we decided to bail on Day 3 and go drink mimosas at Bob and Christina's (of Three Sisters Three Cities....her twin Kathleen is a dear friend and lives in Brooklyn around the corner from us!)
And it was one of those beyond fun days. Much more enjoyable than a muddy festival field and watching concerts in the pouring rain!

And that lovely lady below is Kirby, whom I've known since we were 7. Met at a Science Center camp...... science camps shouldn't be a shock to you if you read how my father raised me! We've traveled the world together a few times and have decades of absolutely silly stories. She was an amazing Chicago hostess and she knows all the best restaurants in town. Oh, and the banana you're asking..... well that piece is by Hanksy.... a street artist who is known for sometimes mixing Tom Hanks face with Banksy pieces. Pretty funny stuff.
