hi. i'm amy. a half iowan half texan who has settled in the borough of kings...... brooklyn. mornings start listening to podcasts of 'this american life', beliefs include that certain liquids [like champagne & iced coffee] should be considered hydrating, charm & chivalry get you far in this city & no gadget can replace the satisfaction of creasing your page in a book. if lost, will most likely be found in a store consisting of candles, jars, cake stands or antiques. won the [dashingly handsome & ridiculously talented] husband lottery. strongly believe in the power of a handwritten thank you note and impromptu dinner parties. prefers the old to the new, skirts to pants, city winter to city summer. we will soon become first time parents to our very own mini-person this summer. i have a paper chain counting down until the delivery date.... also known as the date those 'certain liquids' noted above and i are reunited. and lastly, parker is my middle name, my fathers, my grand fathers & my great-grandfathers. i'm sure they'd enjoy the shoe & lipstick posts the most!
